Overview
Easily block (nullify) undesired Web API(s) and improve your privacy.
WebAPI Blocker is a lite addon that lets you easily block (nullify) undesired Web API(s). Simply open the toolbar popup UI and turn the blocker on with the ON | OFF switch. Then, in the Methods tab, choose an API from the drop-down list and click on the (+) button to add it to the API list. You can deactivate an API by removing its checkmark, and remove it entirely by clicking on the (x) button next to each item. In the Domains tab you control where blocking applies: Blocklist blocks only the listed websites, Allowlist blocks everywhere except the listed websites, and Per URL gives each listed website its own dedicated API list (the (+) button saves the currently checked APIs for the website in the input field). The Settings tab lets you pick the blocking method (Lite, Pro, or Throw) and its deep null level, the source of the API list, the toolbar badge, the confirmation style for destructive actions, the theme, and a temporary pause. The top toolbar holds the Export and Import buttons for a JSON backup and the Factory reset button. Note: please be careful when you block (nullify) a Web API. Certain API(s) may cause websites to not fully load or even make them unresponsive. Therefore, please do enough research before disabling an API. To report bugs, please fill out the bug report form on the addon's homepage (https://mybrowseraddon.com/webapi-blocker.html)
