Overview
Access a draggable timer directly in Google Slides pages, even in slideshow mode.
An easy-to-use timer for Google Slides that keeps time, even when navigating from slide to slide. Features: - Always Visible: The timer stays on top, even when you're in full-screen presentation mode. - Slide Independent: Time will keep running, even if you switch slides. - Completely Movable: Drag and drop the timer anywhere on your screen to fit your slide layout. - Flexible Modes: Use the full timer with controls, or switch to a minimal mode that only shows the time (resizable). - Quick Presets: Instantly set common classroom times (1m, 5m, 15m, etc.). - Silence preferred? Mute the alarm sound. Beware of copycats! Someone has copied my timer's code and is offering it under a nearly identical name. Unlike my application, it will request full access to your Google documents. Careful who you trust with your data! How to use this plugin: 1. Install the Chrome browser plugin via the official web store 2. Open a presentation via Google Slides 3. Click on the plugin 4. Start a timer 5. Enter Slideshow mode What's New & Bug fixes in v4.6: - Minimize to a smaller floating timer - New theme: Transparent Mode - Separation of Menu buttons for quick access What's New & Bug fixes in v4.5: - Quick timer select buttons directly start the timer - Themes: Light & Dark Mode - Small bug fixes as reported by users What's New & Bug fixes in v4: - Interactive progress bar — Adjust the timer like a YouTube video, with a live MM:SS tooltip. - Quick-start play button — Start your custom duration with one click. - Presets always apply — clicking a preset (1m, 5m, 30m…) now sets the new duration immediately, even while a timer is running or ringing. The active preset is highlighted in blue. - Accurate timing — the countdown is now anchored to the clock, so it stays correct in background tabs (no more drift). - Remembers your preferences — alarm sound, volume, bar height, and your last-used time are saved between sessions. What's New & Bug fixes in v3.4 - Bug fix reported by the community: On the start of the timer, the controls drawer remained closed. What's New & Bug fixes in v3.2 - Settings menu was added to offer you more control over audio and visual options What's New & Bug fixes in v3.1 - Resizing while in a slideshow mode is now smoother - Clear Dragging handle for resizing the timer - Better styled timer controls toggle What's New in v3.0 - A Complete UI Overhaul! This version introduces a complete redesign of the timer, focusing on a cleaner, more intuitive, and professional experience for your presentations. 1) Detached Controls Drawer: The timer settings are now housed in a separate controls drawer that slides up neatly from below the main timer. This keeps your screen clutter-free while the timer is running. 2) Collapsible Controls: A new chevron icon allows you to show or hide the controls drawer on demand, giving you quick access to settings without interrupting your flow. 3) Fixed Aspect Ratio Window: The timer window now resizes with a fixed aspect ratio, just like a widescreen display. This ensures the timer always looks polished and never stretched or distorted, no matter the size. 4) Visual Alarm: In addition to the audio beeps, the timer window now gently pulses red when the time is up, providing a clear and unmissable visual cue. 5) Refined Interactions: I've polished the user experience by fixing several small but important bugs. When time is running, you can now click the time display to both pause and resume etc.
