See railway lines on Google Maps — powered by OpenStreetMap data. Google Maps hides most railway infrastructure by default. This extension fixes that: click once to fetch and display every rail line in your current viewport, as a clean SVG overlay directly on top of Google Maps. WHAT YOU CAN DISPLAY • Heavy rail and intercity lines • Subway and metro networks • Light rail and streetcar routes • Tram lines • Narrow gauge railways • Monorail systems Choose exactly which rail types to show using the built-in checkboxes. Toggle the entire overlay on or off with a single click on the extension icon. HOW IT WORKS Railway data is fetched live from the Overpass API (OpenStreetMap). Each fetch covers the map area currently visible on screen. When a data server is busy, the extension switches to another one by itself and tells you what is happening. Lines render as colored SVG paths — no page refresh, no map reload. Zoom in to street level and fetch again to see fine detail on tram stops and light rail switches.
